Yvonne De Carlo was a Canadian-American actress, dancer, and singer. Her career spanned over five decades, from the 1940s to the 1990s. She is best known for her roles as Lily Munster in the CBS sitcom The Munsters (19641966) and as the titular character in the 1956 film Curse of the Demon.

De Carlo was born Margaret Yvonne Middleton in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, on September 1, 1922. She began her career as a dancer in nightclubs and on Broadway. In 1941, she made her film debut in the musical comedy Keep ‘Em Flying. She went on to star in a number of films throughout the 1940s and 1950s, including Salome, Where She Danced (1945), and The Ten Commandments (1956).
